Welcome!

Hello everyone, welcome to Living the Teacher Life. My name is Janey and I am so excited that you decided to join me. I wanted to start off this blog introducing myself and my intentions with this blog/website. I have been a teacher for the last 8 years and have loved all the highs and the lows that have come with the territory. I have my Bachelors in Special Education and am working towards my Deaf Education masters, and am learning so much.

The reason I wanted to start this website/blog is because I want to create a space for teachers to feel seen, heard, find support, find resources, and know they are not alone. My hope to create a community of educators that will be there for each other in times of need. There have been many times in my teaching career where I felt that I needed some help or encouragement and I want this to be that for anyone and everyone.

With that said, whether you are a new teacher, veteran teacher, service provider, parent, paraprofessional, or someone curious about education, welcome. I look forward to getting to know you all and you getting to know me. Lets build an amazing community together
